Thanks to all of you for check in about Maggie. All of her tests came back completely normal, so I think she has a low grade infection that will hopefully be cleared up by antibiotics. Am very relieved!

Slow Moe

This is "Moe", Skylines The Aftermath of Dazlin, who is the sire of Bette's boys. He is owned with Greg & Katie Berrios who sent me this video clip.

Today was a bit rough - poor Maggie (Ch. Midnight Sensation at Dazlin, ROM) went to have her aural haematoma drained and some other tests done as her lymph nodes are enlarged. We did a full work up and should have results on Thursday or Friday. For now she has to wear the "cone of shame" (e-collar) until I can take out the suture in her ear. I am just hoping we are not looking at the early stages of lymphoma.....positive thoughts.....

Juno gets a sleigh ride!

I got the BEST Christmas card yesterday from Teena Troy and her Bullyhill Gang. Pictured above is Dante (the reindeer in training), otherwise known as Ch. Bullyhills Midnight Special, and Juno (Ch. Dazlin Defiance ROM x Ch. Midnight Sensation at Dazlin, ROM). Juno was a singleton pup and Teena and her husband Gordy were so generous in raising her in their litter.
Teena has done a fantastic job with Juno - from training, socializing, and feeding her a premium diet. There is no way I could ever express my true gratitude, but I am going to keep trying. THANK YOU TEENA!

Marni's new arrivals came over the course of last night into this morning. There are two white dogs; one with a brindle eyebrow and one all white, and a white bitch with a black eye patch. The three amigos are doing well - they are BIG puppies! Marni has already proved herself to be a tremendous mom.

Here are some more of Patty's photos - this time of Floyd & Ryker.

Dog Fancy was here on Wednesday to take some photos of the dogs for their April issue. Here are a couple of pics taken of my two pups from Ch. Cool Conquistador at Crossgarley x Skylines Caught Red Handed. Edie is the white and Rio is the red. I think the photographer, Patty Petit, did a really good job at capturing their personalities.

We received good news from Canada today - Ch. Brigadoon's Bright White Hope (Vicki) is in whelp to Dutch Dreamer at Skyline Bull Position (Ryker). Our congratulations and best wishes to Craig Collins (Vicki's owner) on his impending litter. This will make Ryker's second litter of Canadian kids!

Bette's boys!

Bette delivered two dog puppies on Saturday (11/14) and unfortunately the third was stillborn. Her labor started without much warning and she did a great job whelping them. Both boys are strong and were quick to learn how to nurse; they definitely have inherited their grandmother, Skylines Slap N' Tickle's, love of FOOD. They are also quite adept at getting out from under their mom when she lays on them in the whelping box.

The black brindle boy is a mini me of his dad and oddly enough the white dog with brindle ears shares almost the identical marking to his mom.

Both are doing well and growing quickly. Enjoy the pics!

Welcome to our blog! I decided there had to be a better way to update my News Page, so here we are...

We had a great Silverwood weekend. It took us 24 hours to get to San Jose - there were typhoon force winds in San Fransisco which made it virtually impossible to land a plane at SFO, but we eventually got there safe and sound. Floyd celebrated his 1 year birthday in style in California by going Best Futurity Junior (Judge Linda Maddox), was a Silverwood finalist (one of 7 chosen out of an entry of 29 - Judges Norma Smith and Mary Remer) and RWD at the National (Judge Carl Pew). None of it would have been possible without Kathy's hard work as Floyd herniated a disk a month before and was on crate rest, and my friend Glenna Wright's expert handling of him (in addition to showing all of her own dogs).

We arrived back at Skyline and are now patiently awaiting the arrival of Bette's puppies. Her temperature dropped last night so hopefully we will have some new arrivals by tomorrow. Because of my back surgery, and my slow recovery, this will be the first litter I have whelped at Skyline in almost two years. I am very excited...now if Bette would just hurry up and oblige! :-) Photos forthcoming...
